Hi, we’re Carey and Sharon Phillips, the owners and crew of DreamWeaver. Our love affair with sailing in the tropics began over ten years ago on our first catamaran charter with our three sons. Since then, we have returned nearly every winter to sail catamarans we owned or chartered in the eastern Caribbean. Our explorations have lasted weeks and even months at a time, and our guests have ranged in age from 6 to 80. Now, we have exchanged our house for a yacht in order to share our passion for making deep connections to life while dancing in the wind and waves amongst fellow voyagers.

Carey’s background is in the pastoral ministry and also business, as an owner and operator of small companies (up to $20 million). He is a USCG licensed captain, a PADI certified diver, and a trained Emergency First Responder. Sharon’s background includes training in massage therapy and other body-centered healing arts. She is also a PADI certified diver and an EFR. Both of us are active in personal development training and yoga/meditation practice. We are able to bring these distinctions to a new kind of cruise we call a sailing retreat.

For our retreats we pass up the most populated areas of the Caribbean and sail where there are no cruise ships, big resorts or shopping malls. We only cruise where there is an abundance of tranquil anchorages, protected and shallow snorkeling reefs, crystal clear water and sandy beaches. These islands also have a treasure trove of seafood, and fruits and vegetables. So, on DreamWeaver we offer fresh, nutritious, delicious local cuisine and add some of our own favorites. Our culinary aim is to delight your palette while promoting nutritional balance.

We especially welcome guests who have never sailed before or whose only cruising experience has been on a cruise ship. We think of the difference between DreamWeaver and a big cruise ship as the difference between participating on the playground and watching from twenty stories above. We will teach you how to sail, if you wish, or introduce you to breathing underwater with our hookah diving system. Of course, there are numerous diving excursions available for certified divers.

We want to welcome you to our home and playground as guests and friends who know they can make themselves comfortable and actively co-create their retreat. Go ahead and pour yourself a drink, snoop in the cupboards, ask all your questions. If you love to create in the galley just ask us to give you room. All expressions of your heart will help generate your unique sailing retreat experience. We have developed guided imagery and exercises that are optional enhancements.

We’ll use our digital video and photo cameras to capture your retreat and you will receive a DVD video and photo slideshow at the end of your trip.

Ours is a voyage of celebration: celebration of life, of beauty, of connection to nature and those we love. Our mission is to discover portals for all of us to explore the wonder and mystery of life and to listen for what would allow each of us to fully express our most soulful selves.

We invite you to sail and play with us.
